Climate Action Nation
Be a part of a community that empowers us to make climate action today
Our Mission
At Climate Action Nation we want to combat the climate crisis to create a better future for all.
The world is changing rapidly, in the last 10 years alone we have seen an increase in extreme floods, fires, hurricanes and more effecting our humanity, communities, food stability and ecology globally.
As a society, we are dependent on governments, businesses and NGOs to make the transition alone. We believe at Climate Action Nation it’s everyones responsibility to make change.
That’s why we are bringing people together across the global to be a part of the solution and accelerate climate action. We provide independently verified climate action projects across the globe to contribute to their good work of avoiding and/or removing carbon and other harmful emissions from our atmosphere.
Our community’s built of individuals and we are here to scale climate action collectively. Learn more about how you can contribute to the different type of projects we support.
Climate Action Projects
From environmental to climate technology, we have handpicked projects that we truly believe will help aid the course of climate change. Our Climate Action Projects represent the good work done globally to help remove carbon, restore biodiversity and improve livelihoods.
However, these projects cannot survive without financing and that’s where we see Climate Action Nation’s position, by providing you with the education needed to make more informed climate action decisions and provide the much needed financing to the projects.
It’s all about increasing tree cover; creating new forests, restoring lost ones and reviving damaged areas. In doing so we reduce carbon in the atmosphere, support local wildlife systems, protect soil and water making a planet healthier and more resilient.
These are unique trees that grow in salty water and store a huge amount of carbon, protecting coastlines from erosion and storms as well providing a safe habitat for fish, birds and other mammals. Overall, they support a healthier planet by capturing carbon, protecting ecosystems, and boosting biodiversity.
When peatlands are damaged they release huge amounts of carbon into the atmosphere, so protecting and restoring the wet, swampy areas helps keep carbon stored safely in the ground, reducing greenhouse gases and supporting local ecosystems.
The Amazon rainforest is a critical and natural way to store carbon and fight climate change. Programs like this give local communities reasons to protect the forests instead of cutting them down. This helps keep tons of plant and animal species safe, respects indigenous people’s rights, and stops huge amounts of carbon from being released into the air.
A carbon-rich substance made by heating organic waste (like wood, manure or crop waste) in a low-oxygen environment. Once added to soil, it improves plant growth, nutrients and captures carbon in the soil, helping to reduce greenhouse gases and promote sustainable farming.
DAC is a technology that pulls CO₂ straight from the air, like a giant vacuum. The captured CO₂ can then be stored underground or used to make products, keeping it out of the atmosphere. This helps fight climate change by reducing the amount of CO₂ and making the planet healthier by slowing global warming.
